Drones flew down the runway carrying handbags at the Dolce & Gabbana show.
Models were replaced instead by tiny flying drones whizzing down the runway single-file and carrying handbags from the fall collection. For the past few seasons, the power fashion house, consistently produced over-the-top runway shows, starting with famous faces walking the runway and musical performances by Top 40 hitmakers. It was pretty much no surprise for anyone actually when the D&G empire chose a more futuaristing approach.
All of the show’s guests were instructed upon arrival to turn off the Wi-Fi on their devices, including any personal hotspots. When the show finally began, the bags flew down the runway, each carried by a drone, to the sound of Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s new hit “All of the Stars” from the Black Panther album.
