The Diva who gave birth to twins this past June made a rare public appearance at Tidal x Brooklyn, held at the Barclays Center and benefiting those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma.
The 36-year-old looked sultry in a slinky emerald Walter Mendez gown, which featured a thigh-high split up on one side and was open across her bust, showcasing her super toned waist. She finished the look with glittering pumps and statement earrings.
During his performance, Jay sang the couple’s first duet “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” but Bey did not come on stage. “Psych, y’all think Bey is coming out or something but we ain’t doing that tonight,” he told the crowd.
This last September Beyonce visited her home town Texas, which was affected from hurricane Harvey. The singer then said: “This today is a celebration of survival. This church is my home. I was maybe nine or 10-years-old the first time I sat there where my daughter is sitting. I sang my first solo here and I just wanna thank you for lifting my family up, for praying for me and for being such an incredible example of what light and love is.”
She continued: “Calling the congregation her “family,” Beyoncé continued: “Houston is my home. I thank God that you’re safe, your children are safe … I just wanna say I love you. I’ve been blessed so that I can bless other people and I ask of God to continue to do that for other people.” “I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor [Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston] to implement a plan to help as many as we can,” she added.
For the occasion Bey accessorized her look with a crystal-encrusted clutch shaped like a wad of $100 bills. The accessory is part of an Alexander Wang and Judith Leiber collaboration and it consists of 10,263 black, gunmetal, green and clear Swarovski crystals. It costs $4,995.
