On the wings of an angel. Syrian designer Rami Al Ali Couture made his return to Paris yesterday, presenting a 20-piece haute couture collection for Fall/Winter 2017. An otherworldly vision of strength, sensuality and romance, the designer took inspiration from American artist Abbot Handerson Thayer’s series of 19th century angel paintings, evoking the delicacy and strength of wings through architecture and embellishment, including feather skirts and linings.
For the occasion, Christian Louboutin sandals Crystal Queen and Choca, each in nude, complemented cocktail length dresses and gowns composed of rich fabrics in a soft palette of champagne and blush with splashes of red.
Make the best dressed list in “Crystal Queen”. This slender platform sandal is encrusted in dazzling crystal shards of varying sizes. Set against nude patent leather, the crystals draw the eye to their sparkling splendor.
Christian Louboutin Nail Colour in neutral Tutulle provided the perfect coup de grâce.
