Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly met up with Prince William and Kate Middleton on Friday (June 27)! The two high-profile couples met for the first time for tea at Kensington Palace after months of planning.

“Everyone got on splendidly,” a close source shared to Us Weekly. “Brad and Angelina spent much longer with the Duke and Duchess than planned. They ended up staying for almost a few hours.”

During the meeting, Brad and Angie reportedly gave a gift to William and Kate to celebrate the birth of Princess Charlotte, who was born in May.

Kate and Prince William waited outside their apartment home with Prince George to welcome the power couple. The royal couple was “really excited” about meeting with Brad and Angelina. Aw! Even the royals can get starstruck! Brad and Angelina brought along a belated gift to celebrate the May arrival of Princess Charlotte.

“They discussed their shared interest in combatting the illegal wildlife trade,” the insider added.

Angelina, 40, had been in London earlier this week to attend a lunch at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as she continues to campaign to end sexual violence in war zones.

Rumours have been swirling that Brad and Angelina are headed for a breakup. Brad reportedly told Angelina they were “over” and planned to announce their split by the end of 2015, InTouch Weekly reported.

It was just over a year ago that Jolie Pitt, 40, was made an honorary dame by William’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. The official title, Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George, was awarded for the actress’s extensive service to U.K. foreign policy.

However here’s the truth about the situation. “They have super intensified lives with their careers and children that cause natural arguments and sometimes their marriage comes in at a distant third place, but their marriage is still very important to them,” our source said. “They aren’t getting divorced.”
