It is the ultimate star-studded event that is just as much about the fashion on the red carpet as it is the awards. And while many celebrities, including Kate Hudson and Amal Clooney, got the look right at Sunday night’s Golden Globes – dazzling in sophisticated designer gowns and stunning heels – others didn’t quite make the impression they were hoping for.
From the A-listers hoping to play it safe, wearing trusted strapless or fishtail styles in nude and jewel tones, to those daring to take a risk in out-there never-seen-before designs, the red carpet was awash with stars suffering serious fashion faux pas.
The Arrow actress showed a little too much skin in this slashed silver and black gown, featuring an uncomfortable-looking slit.
It may have taken over 30 people to make the newly pregnant actress’ custom Chanel dress, but the butterfly-print design still looks more night gown than red carpet gown.
