George Clooney hates the British paper The Daily Mail, blasting them for printing a false story that his mother-in-law-to-be doesn’t approve of her daughter’s engagement. Now, the paper’s just publicized another personal story about the actor’s life, but this time, it actually seems to be true.
The Daily Mail has photos of Clooney’s 36-year-old fiancée, Amal Alamuddin, leaving the East London offices of none other than Kate Middleton’s wedding dress designer, Alexander McQueen. In the photos, Amal—who obtained her marriage license last month—is seen entering the McQueen offices and exiting an hour and a half later, hugging goodbye to the seamstress, who’s got a pincushion elastic-ed to her arm.
Sure, it’s possible that Amal just had a reallllllly elaborate fitting for an upcoming red carpet event, but with her newly minted marriage license and all the speculation that she and George will be married by the end of the month, we’re willing to bet this was bridal business. Especially considering who Amal brought along with her to run the errand: her mother. (Who, then, clearly approves of the whole engagement thing.)
