1. Pick a good primer.

They’re made specifically to make makeup stick. Of course, we’re not fans of piling on products this time of year, so be sure to find a light formula—or better yet, one that cools, like Smashbox’s brilliant Photo Finish primer, which tingles as you apply. 2. Try to avoid oil-based foundation and makeup.

It’s often a recipe for your face to do the “Cha Cha Sliiiide.” Going completely oil-free isn’t always possible, but doing it where you can will help. (This particularly applies to sunscreen.)
