For breathtaking, show-stopping and red-carpet-worthy gowns, we can always rely onElie Saab and the Elie Saab spring/summer 2015 collection is a bright fountain of inspiration to this end! Already having fans in your homeland when you are just 18 years old is something not every designer can boast with, but the worldwide fame to Beirut-born Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab was to come only 20 years later when American actress Halle Berry appeared during the Oscars ceremony 2002 (and got the prestigious award) wearing a luxurious Elie Saab gown in dark maroon. Today Saab’s style can be identified as a unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures. Mainly using organza, taffeta and satin, the Lebanese designer creates the timeless pieces that women all around the world love so much.

For his Elie Saab spring/summer 2015 collection, Mr. Saab, like many other designers this year, had gone for the contrast of black and white versus colorful florals. Moreover, in Saab’s collection, the black and white were seen in forms of stripes adorning the pieces. The two colors were also seen on the straps of high heel sandals that the designer had created for his spring collection. Saab had also used lace to design all black jumpsuits, some of which were rather skin revealing, delicate baby blue halter dresses and long-sleeved long A-line skirt dresses in white. Lace was also used as a unique detail adorning the sleeves and sides of several all-white tops and jackets. Of the fragile baby blue color we also saw classic rompers with thin belts in the same shade, matched with high-heeled sandals and small clutch-like shoulder bags.
As the show progressed, the colors got brighter, the pieces more elegant and flowy. Saab had used fading ombre technique on several dresses creating gorgeous pieces with all sorts of necklines. The pieces designed using an azure blue fabric stood out thanks to their effortlessness and charm. The color had been used to create straight high waisted pants paired with matching blouses with lacy sleeves, long-sleeved jumpsuits, sleeveless round neckline A-line mini dresses, long asymmetrical flowy dresses.
