There is no bigger and more extravagant fashion event than the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. Each year, the best and brightest of the industry come together to celebrate the museum’s exhibit — and celebrities, models, and designers bring their sartorial A-game to the corresponding red carpet.

Many stars paid homage to the theme of the exhibit, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,” as they showed off head-turning gowns that incorporated metallics, hardware and mixed prints — it was simply show-stopping.

Go through our gallery to see our favourite looks from the night!
