How To Dress For A First Date In Fall

1 of 7

A first date means you’ll want to be making a fantastic impression. Comfort should be your first priority then, that’s the key no matter what. If you feel good in what you’re wearing you’ll look good; confidence is everything.

More is more, but don’t give it all away on the first date! If you wear something short, balance that out with long sleeves and a low heel. If you decide to wear something backless or low cut in the front, wear it with a maxi skirt or jeans. Also avoid extremes like overly trendy outfits or heavy makeup.

An easy dress with some sort of jacket – a leather cropped bomber, a cardigan, or a denim jacket – whatever your style is,  is always a great outfit combination. You can do flats or boots depending on where you are going and what you’re most comfortable in.

If you want to add just a little bit of extra sex appeal go for knee high boots. When wearing them though make sure to keep your clothes a bit loose –  like a boxy shift or oversized shapeless sweater, or a long trench coat which balances the inherent sexiness of the shoe style. Make sure you are showing sezo cleavage and your arms are fully covered.

If you feel like you want to play it safe –  go with a pair of dark blue or black denim jeans. Darker denim is continuously flattering, regardless of your size. Pair the jeans with a simple beige or white shirt, which, depending on the date and finish the look with a nice navy blazer or a chic trench coat, again depending on the weather. Remember to use minimal accessories and makeup.

For a finishing touch – use a modest amount of perfume. You don’t want to asphyxiate your date with your fragrance, the poor man could faint. Instead use just enough perfume to caress and seduce his senses in a subtle way.
