Prince William Is Preparing For “Drama”

Britain’s Prince William is preparing for “drama” as his children get older. The 33-year-old royal – who has two-year-old son Prince George and nine-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge – has admitted his kids are becoming a bit of a handful.

Speaking to guests at a reception held by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust in Cardiff, Wales, he said: “[She is] very sweet, but all fathers say, ‘Just you wait, when you get to nine, 10, 11 they go crazy.’ I’m looking forward to it, there will be some drama.

“No broken bones yet, but they’re trying. [They’re] running around, pushing things, jumping. Please tell me it gets easier.”

And the Prince wants his children to experience the world how he has but previously admitted he fears his daughter will never see a wild elephant because of the illegal ivory trade. He explained at the time: “We have to accept the truth: that consumers are driving the demand for animal body parts, for art, for trinkets, or for medicine. Only we as consumers can put the wildlife traffickers out of business.

“It is time to talk about the growing human demand for illegal wildlife products that drives the trade and makes it profitable. The good news is that we are far from powerless in this struggle. We can turn the tide of extinction.”
