The European premiere of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was not cancelled tonight in London, despite rumours Warner Bros had decided to pull the plug on the event due to the Brussels terror attacks.
The studio sent their condolences to the victims of the atrocities in a strongly worded statement where they confirmed the planned festivities would continue despite today’s harrowing events.
“Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world,” they said in a statement on Tuesday night.
“Rather than yield to terror, we’ve decided to join the film’s fans and move forward with the London premiere of ‘Batman v Superman’ this evening.”
The movie had it’s world premiere in New York on Sunday night with Affleck and Cavill joined on the red carpet by co-stars Gal Gadot and Amy Adams.
