With the commercial success of Fifty Shades of Grey, you’d think the leading actor would be chomping at the bit to complete the naughty trilogy. While there’s no official word yet, all signs point to two more movies being made in the Fifty Shades trilogy. And rumor has it — Jamie Dornan won’t be a part of the sequels.
Fans have reacted with a mixture of shock, outrage and downright devastation as rumours circulate.
The actor is thought to have stopped his brief relationship with the films early because his wife doesn’t want him to star in any more, it has been claimed.
Actress Amelia Warner, who has a 15-month-old daughter with the star, is said to be unhappy with him acting out the explicit sex scenes in the controversial film.
So the question is who will play Christian Grey in the famously anticipated sequel Fifty Shades of Grey?
Will they refer back to their short list of fan favourites like Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder? Or will they find a new face? The film’s IMDB page already added the profile of British actor Aaron-Taylor Johnson to the cast list. A timely coincidence? Yeah, we don’t think so either.
Handsome stars such as Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer, Alexander Skarsgård and Henry Cavill have all found their names mentioned in the same sentence with Christian Grey before the first movie was made and Jamie got the role. So, will the they go back to that list, or should they just give it to Henry Cavill already! Honestly, who would be any better for those steaming sex scenes than him, I mean look at him!
Cavill fans point to a 2008 cologne commercial that features “Superman” as a sharply dressed Christian Grey-to be about to board a helicopter emblazoned with a letter “G.” They have also started a Pinterest page, “Henry Cavill (Christian Grey),” where they post pictures of Cavill resembling Grey’s poses and demeanor.
Not one would filled Grey’s shoes, obviously, more perfectly than the “Man of Steel.” He is a relative newcomer, which won’t let a big time Hollywood personality (like Gosling) overshadow the character and the film with a larger-than-life celebrity persona. In addition, Cavill – unlike Gosling – is not preceded by a gallant and sensible image that could backfire once the ladies watch their hero performing Christian Grey’s S&M signature moves.
