Proving she really is a princess of the people, Kate Middleton recycled a dress she wore less than two weeks ago for the Buckingham Palace garden party on Tuesday.
Wearing the same $2,000 pale pink Emilia Wickstead pleated coat dress she donned at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee world sovereign’s lunch on May 18 ( pictured below), the Duchess of Cambridge joined 8,000 guests, along with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles and CamillaParker-Bowles for tea and cakes to honor those who do public service.
While most women not in the public eye wouldn’t repeat an outfit they wore only just eleven days earlier, the duchess is winning over her critics who made much ado about the costly frock she wore to the royal’s lunch.
The only addition to the outfit this time around? Middleton styled it with a matching pink Jane Corbett hat.
While Prince William did not accompany his wife to this particular event, he had high praise for her in his interview with Kaite Couric for an ABC special airing Tuesday. Speaking of his late mother, Princess Diana, William said “I’m just very sad that she’s never going to get a chance to meet Kate.”
