Meet Gracie Carvalho, the newest Brazilian beauty turning heads and stealing shows all over the world. After debuting at the Rio and São Paulo fall fashion weeks in January of 2008, this 20-year-old newcomer caught the eyes of casting agents, and by the following June she was the most requested model during the spring Rio Fashion Week, walking in 35 of the 39 shows. After strutting her stuff on the catwalk, Gracie subsequently landed the covers of Brazilian L’Officiel in July and November 2008, as well as editorials for Brazilian Elle and Brazilian Vogue. In the Fall 2009 season, Gracie debuted on the runways in New York, walking for 3.1 phillip lim, BCBG Max Azria, Carolina Herrera, Ralph Lauren, and Vera Wang and then flew straight to Paris to walk for Giambattista Valli, Kris Van Assche, and Stella McCartney.
This is only the beginning for this Brazilian starlet. She recently walked in the Jason Wu, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Miu Miu shows and has signed on for some top advertising campaigns for major retail brands, as well. Keep your eyes peeled for Gracie modeling the latest collections of your favorite brands. She booked campaigns for DKNY Jeans, BCBG Max Azria, Gap, Express, and Victoria’s Secret. With such an impressive resume, we have high hopes for Gracie and expect this fresh face to quickly become very familiar.
