Bridal Couture by Elihav Sasson S/S 2012
0Style, elegance and a little edge in the Snobette way of life is often hard to find when it comes to the quintessential wedding dress. Frankly we’re tired of the succession of strapless gowns worn by all women uniformely . The strapless wedding dress trend seems to have gone on forever. Thankfully, Elihav Sasson’s 1920’s inspired bridal collection takes hints from lingerie with various silhouettes that spell glamour with a capital ‘G’ yours truly is smitten. “My inspiration for this collection was the Hollywood stars of the ’20s,” the designer says, “but I was not thinking of them at the front of the stage, only at the back of the stage. All the lingerie looks–” he says. That means lots of lace, mini details that come from undergarments and more form-fitting silhouettes with flouncy tulle at the bottom. The model is Luma from Brazil.
