Naomi Watts Makes Her Debut as Princess Diana

Filming has begun in London on Naomi Watts’s new movie, Caught in Flight, in which she plays Princess Diana during the last two years of her life.

The first images of Watts in the role have surfaced, showing her in a black skirt suit, Diana’s signature cropped hair, and a sparkly gown as well. After Watts landed the role earlier this year, she said she was “absolutely terrified. The filmmakers came to me and it’s a good script and it’s very scary and I kind of wanted to say no but I couldn’t.” The film is expected in theaters next year.
