Fashion Style Magazine culled the country’s top spas for the most soothing indulgences

1. Lotus Flower Aquatic Reflexology ($150)

One dip in the Sanctuary Spa’s heated outdoor Watsu pool and you’ll achieve the ultimate relaxation. As you float weightlessly for an hour, a therapist gently manipulates and stretches your body to release tension and blockages, focusing on reflex points in your hands, feet, and ears. Book an after-dark time slot to enjoy the twinkling desert sky.

2. Good Luck Ritual ($250)

Walking into the Encore Spa is like getting a peek inside I Dream of Jeannie’s bottle—the spa’s Good Luck Ritual grants the wish of complete relaxation in 80 minutes. Based on the principles of feng shui, the popular service includes a head-to-toe massage, topped off with an intensive moisturizing hand treatment, an invigorating peppermint foot rub, and a clarifying wild lime scalp rinse that’ll leave your strands healthier and shinier. What happens in Vegas doesn’t have to stay there.

3. Crème de la Crème ($395)
Experience a little of everything on the Bacara Spa menu with the Crème de la Crème treatment, a veritable sampler platter of the spa’s most requested services. The nearly two-hour experience kicks off with a Naturopathica Aqua Latte Foaming Milk Bath soak and a lime scalp treatment followed by allover exfoliation, body mask, and thermal espresso mud wrap. But that’s not all: After rinsing, there’s a full-body massage, skin-smoothing paraffin treatment for hands and feet, and a self-heating mineral mud placed along the spine to promote balance and detoxify. Last but not least: a moisturizing coat of Naturopathica Crème de la Crème.

4. Elysian Cleanse ($335)
A head-to-toe facial, the Elysian Cleanse—available at Chicago’s brand-new Elysian Hotel—is a two-hour service that’ll leave you silky smooth all over. Enjoy a foot rub, rain-shower-rinse, seaweed gel massage and body wrap (hello, slimming benefits!), plus a moisturizing elixir; a facial, scalp, and eye treatment concludes the luxurious session.

5. Volcanic Ash Purifying Facial ($145)

When in Hawaii, it takes less than an hour to save face—literally. Take advantage of the local assets and partake in a Volcanic Ash Purifying Facial. The authentic volcanic ash is better than the best slumber-party mask for pulling out impurities (like blackheads) and keeping oil slicks in check. Plus, you won’t see red afterward. Instead, your skin will feel baby soft.

6. Turquoise Wrap ($190)

Turquoise is not only one of the hottest colors of the season, it’s also seen as a color of protection, self-confidence, and positive energy. Based on this Native American belief, the 80-minute Turquoise Wrap will envelop you in the hue—from a Hopi blue cornmeal body buff to a warm, ionized turquoise clay wrap. As you soak up the wrap and its skin-purifying benefits, a therapist performs a cleansing “rain stick ritual” with traditional essential oils. The service wraps with a warm shower and a layer of luxe moisturizer to hydrate and soothe skin.

7. Red Flower Sento Treatment ($230)
Located on a quiet street in NYC’s NoHo neighborhood, the Great Jones Spa is unassuming at street level—but walk inside and a subterranean oasis awaits. Topping the spa’s holistic offerings is the Red Flower Sento Treatment: Based on Japanese bathing rites, the 90-minute service takes place in a Vichy shower in which skin is purified and hydrated with sea algae, rose, and plum oils. To cap the treatment, a shiatsu is performed with Kinmoxie wild-lime silk oil.

8. Astro Balance ($200)

The Astro Balance massage gives new meaning to the “what’s your sign” question. It’s a pampering 80-minute rubdown based solely on your birth date, astrological sign, and element (i.e., earth, water, fire, air). Choose to indulge in a treatment that’s tailored to your sign—from the type of strokes to the essential oil selection—to strengthen your mojo. Or, opt to get a treatment for your opposite sign to attain inner balance.

9. CoffeeBerry Natureceuticals Antiaging Facial ($250)

Wake up and smell the CoffeeBerry Natureceuticals Antiaging Facial and age-proof your complexion (all while relaxing on Hill Country’s peaceful Lake Austin). The red fruit of the coffee plant is a powerful antioxidant that helps reverse the signs of aging by firming the skin and evening its tone. Bonus: This 80-minute facial treats more than just the face. It also encompasses the neck, chest, and hands—areas that are also highly vulnerable to ultraviolet damage and photo-aging.

10. Grand Luxe Facial ($750)
Who needs a face-lift when you can improve the look of your skin with diamonds and caviar? An aesthetician tends to your complexion for three hours during a painless Grand Luxe Facial, using a combination of the best technology and ingredients available to get it deep-down clean and radiant. A decadent diamond peel polishes the skin’s surface and gentle micro-currents remove blackheads and brown spots while stimulating collagen production. Afterward, a rich caviar mask and an omega-6 eye treatment nourish skin and replace lost moisture. Finally, a touch of LED light therapy has an anti-inflammatory effect, reducing irritation and sun damage. Note: You may fall asleep while all this is going on, thanks to a hand and foot massage, topped off with warm mitts and booties.
