The Mademoiselle Privé watch by Chanel
0At September’s XXVI Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, Chanel unveiled a series of watches featuring symbols emblematic of the house on pieces from the 1932 fine jewelry collection. The Mademoiselle Privé line draws on a vision full of the talismans, astrology and numerology that were close to Gabrielle Chanel’s heart for designs on 18 carat white gold watchfaces, described by writer Patrick Mauriès in the upcoming Bijoux de Diamants (out in French October 14 from La Martinière). Sculpted onto translucent blue Grand Feu enamel, the esoteric detailing – taken from a Coromandel screen – is brought to life with 513 diamonds on the Constellation du Lion model we’ve chosen. On a black alligator skin strap, the fantasy feline is shown leaping from left to right in a design featuring 35 diamonds and a blue sapphire cabochon, ringed with a snow of diamonds. Take a little bit of Coco with you every day, with this truly special piece of fine jewelry.
