Charlotte Olympia

Charlotte Olympia is known for her cool, slightly avant-garde designs, but that doesn’t mean that she can’t go pretty just as quickly as the rest of them. If you had any doubts, the Charlotte Olympia Paloma Platforms should go a long way toward shoring them up.

I think it would probably be difficult to design a purple-pink satin pump with a prominent ruffle and not quickly skew far too girly, but Olympia has managed to pull it off here. The chunky platform probably has something to do with that, and the hard edges go a long way toward keeping the look young and a bit off-kilter, just as the brand prefers. I’m not quite sure that it does enough, though, but it would be hard to deny that this is one seriously pretty shoe
