Fabergé’s pink gold spiral egg

Celebrated by the fine jewelry world since the early 20th century, Fabergé eggs are having a moment. Several designer have admitted that they drew inspiration from Fabergé pendants for Fall/Winter 2012-2013, after Christie’s showed a handful of pieces as part the Elizabeth Taylor sale last December. Fabergé itself has also added to its collection of gemstone eggs, with new metals like pink gold that features in pieces including this spiral egg pendant, which has been worked by Fabergé craftsmen to unfurl like a ribbon of pink gold and diamonds, in a graphic, airy piece that hangs gracefully from a matching pink gold chain.
